Director of Communications and Data Analytics Center for Urban Language Teaching and Research (CULTR)- Biography
As Director of Communications and Data Analytics, David Cotter leads the digital initiatives for the Center for Urban Language Teaching and Research (CULTR) at Georgia State University. David’s work has enhanced the visibility and reputation of the center’s initiatives and driven greater interest among students, educators, external partners, and other key audiences. He is tasked with analyzing educator and learner data to develop integrated marketing performance reports on CULTR’s impact, implementing an internal and external communications strategy for the center, and leading a team of graduate developers to explore the Dual Language Immersion Opportunity Gap. David also serves as a key member of Georgia State University’s Learning Analytics team housed in the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Online Education (CETLOE). Exploring data generated as part of the everyday teaching and learning practices, David’s work aims to develop actionable insights to support student success, faculty advancement, and lifelong learning. He is currently an MBA candidate at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
