Rachel Ezzo
Director of Development- Biography
Rachel Ezzo joined the College of Arts and Sciences in June 2018 as the Director of Development. Rachel will be assisting the college as it strengthens ties with alumni and promotes philanthropy in support of the college. Rachel is a proud alumna of Georgia State, she holds a B.A. in Political Sciences and a B.S. in Economics.
Rachel Ezzo has worked in nonprofits for nearly 15 years and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE). Rachel has extensive experience in budgeting, communications, finance and development, along with strong technical acumen. Rachel began her nonprofit career with The Atlanta Opera as the Finance and IT Manager. Prior to joining Kate’s Club, Ezzo was the Director of Information and Prospect Research at Columbia Theological Seminary.
Most recently, Rachel has worked at Kate’s Club, a local nonprofit focused on childhood bereavement, as the Director of Development and Communications. As the first full-time development professional on staff, Rachel worked with the Executive Director and Board to set the fundraising strategy for the organization which includes cultivating individual donors, executing social media campaigns related to fundraising and donor campaigns, developing peer-to-peer fundraising activities, leading grant and foundation opportunities, and supporting volunteer committees in securing corporate sponsorships for special events. Rachel was a key person in their first capital campaign, Opening New Doors. Rachel proudly elevated the social media platforms for Kate’s Club and their cause related marketing.
