Susanne Schorpp joined the department of political science at Georgia State University as an assistant professor in 2012. She holds a PhD from the University of South Carolina (2011) and was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington University in St. Louis (2011-2012) prior to coming to Georgia State. Her research explores the conditions that impact the willingness and ability of courts to protect individual rights as well as the limitations of a rights-focused judiciary, both in American politics and in comparative perspective.
